Breastfeeding
Female workers are entitled to two paid nursing breaks, each of 30-minute duration, for new mothers to breastfeed their child(ren) until a child is twelve (12) months old. The breast-feeding/nursing breaks are in addition to the normal breaks an employee receives during the working day. Exact timing of breast-feeding/nursing breaks is agreed between the mother and the employer.
Labour Law also requires the employer to establish a child care facility in an enterprise if the total number of female workers is more than 100. The conditions of establishment of day care facility are determined by a decision of the competent Minister. If an establishment is not able to provide child care facility, female workers may place their child(ren) in any day care and employer has to pay the dues.
